2019 is looking to be a great year for Jeep® so far. At Wickstrom Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM, we’ve been thrilled to hear about the new additions and manufacturing strategy from the off-road brand. FCA US LLC has decided to convert one of its old plants in Detroit into a place to manufacture the new Jeep Grand Cherokee model.

Jeep Grand Cherokee

To make the Jeep Grand Cherokee even more suitable for families, FCA US LLC plans to make a three-row model, which will be manufactured in its old Detroit plant. The production of this new Jeep SUV can open up around 400 jobs for local residents. This three-row model is expected to come out in 2021, and it will be the first-ever three-row vehicle from the brand.

The company also states another three-row SUV will be manufactured in Detroit, but the details are unknown.

Additional 2019/2020 Jeep Models

If you haven’t heard the news, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is also in production. This Jeep is a pickup truck based off the Jeep Wrangler with supreme off-roading abilities and best-in-class ratings. Rumor has it, Jeep is already making a faster, high-performance version of the standard Jeep Gladiator that we saw at the LA Auto Show last year.

Overall, Jeep is expected to release nine new models by 2022. This includes entirely new models like the Jeep Gladiator and updated variations of current vehicles.
