The 2019 RAM 1500 will be making its official debut at the upcoming 2018 Detroit Auto Show. However, most Americans have already got a relatively good sneak peak thanks to leaked images that show the pickup minus the camouflage in the frontal portion.

Leaked images reveal what many have been surmising since late 2017. This includes the RAM logo wedged between split chrome bars and in the dead center of the grille. Above the grille includes a pair of black plastic bars, with another three below the grille. The grille overall is a bit smaller and has departed somewhat from its “mini-freightliner” look.

The 2018 RAM 1500 currently offers several grille options, and it’s yet to be confirmed whether the 2019 model will offer multiple choices as well.

After the Detroit Auto Show, all other details will be answered. So far, though, all we know is that the truck will come with a 5.7-liter V8 engine as standard. Some form of a V6 engine is also expected as an upgradable option, potentially a new variant of the EcoDiesel V6 engine.

Earlier spy photos revealed a split tailgate, and it’s interesting to see if this will be carried over in the final version unveiled at the auto show. Inside, the infotainment system will get a size upgrade, though the menu layout will remain more or less the same as the 2018 model.
