The 2018 Jeep® Wrangler has no rival when it comes to off-road vehicles. The iconic SUV is made for traversing formidable terrains. Just how sturdy and rugged is the Jeep Wrangler? It’s so top-notch that it has the capability to scale a vertical rock wall. By vertical, this doesn’t mean a gradual incline. We’re talking about a near 90-degree wall.
One Jeep Wrangler Rubicon owner achieved just that by scaling a vertical wall at Sand Hollow Park in Utah. It should be noted, though, that this is not a stock Jeep Wrangler. A few modifications have been made, including upgraded 42-inch tires, a new suspension, and aftermarket axles.
Go to The Drive to see the video of the amazing feat. Off-road enthusiasts will be absolutely awe-struck.
This accomplishment didn’t come without difficulty, though. It had just rained prior, so the rocky terrain was wet. The SUV also struggled to gain traction at the halfway point. The wall also shows signs of older tire tracks, suggesting that previous attempts have been made without success.
We strongly advise against Jeep owners attempting this stunt. Remember that this Jeep Wrangler in particular was modified with aftermarket parts. The stunt was also performed by an off-roader with many years of experience.
Nevertheless, the feat validates why the Jeep Wrangler is the default vehicle of choice for off-road excursions. You certainly can’t imagine an ordinary sedan pulling off such a jaw-dropping stunt.
